                                ORDINANCE NO. 9570
                   
                   
                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHATTANOOGA CITY CODE, 
                   PART II, SECTION 2-175.1(F), RELATIVE TO 
                   CONTINUED HEALTH CARE COVERAGE OF FORMER 
                   EMPLOYEES AND THEIR DEPENDENTS.
                   
                                                     
                   
                   
       	    	 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That:
       	    	 SECTION 1.  Chattanooga City Code, Part II, Section 
       2-175.1(f), be and the same is hereby amended by deleting the 
       first paragraph of subsection (f) and inserting in lieu thereof a 
       new paragraph as follows:
              (f)  A person entitled to the coverage referred to in 
            Section 2-175.1 shall pay one hundred two percent (102%) 
            of a reasonable estimate calculated on an actuarial 
            basis of the cost of providing coverage for similarly 
            situated individuals during the upcoming plan year which 
            shall begin on the first day of July of each year.  
            Prior to the first day of July in each year, the City 
            Council shall establish by resolution the premiums to be 
            paid during the next plan year beginning on the first 
            day of July of that year.
            
       	    	 SECTION 2.  This Ordinance shall take effect two (2) 
       weeks from and after its passage as required by law.
